Having visited the international environmental forum as a representative from the Russian Federation, Alexander Ivanov, who heads the Office of the Federal Service for the Supervision of Natural Resources Management (Rosprirodnadzor) in the Kaliningrad Region, returned home with depressing news.
The fact is that in the framework of the forum, which was held at one of the European sites, the volumes of livestock waste were announced on the territory of the Kaliningrad region. According to Ivanov, a figure of one million one hundred thousand cubic meters of agricultural waste from livestock production was announced.
Later, Rosprirodnadzor confirmed the indicated volume. Currently, the issue of recycling livestock breeding in the Kaliningrad region is being addressed in accordance with the sanitary requirements applicable within the borders of the Russian Federation.
It will not be superfluous to note that Rosprirodnadzor connected the regional administration of the Samara region to the solution of the problem. And first of all, the issue should be resolved with the absence in the region of an organization that would take on the responsibility to process livestock waste that accumulates on an industrial scale.
However, as Alexander Ivanov emphasizes, the general environmental situation in the region was assessed by experts as favorable and stable.
