On the trading floors of the Russian Federation - both in markets, and in supermarkets and convenience stores - greenhouse tomatoes have risen significantly.
The price of tomatoes grown in closed ground rose by as much as 13%. And today, a kilogram of tomatoes costs an average of 150 rubles to the Russian consumer (the lower level starts at 120 rubles, the upper level equals 170). This is despite the fact that a week earlier a kilogram package of greenhouse tomatoes cost Russian customers an average of 100 rubles.
As experts explain, today far from all greenhouse plants in Russia are ready to supply generous consignments of tomatoes to the market, and so far only individual farms with modest yielding resources are engaged in the sale of greenhouse tomatoes.Small wholesale provokes a low supply, despite the fact that the demand for tomatoes among Russians is increasing every day. The import of foreign tomatoes is also declining, which also makes it possible for realizers of foreign vegetables to raise prices. It is noteworthy that for the same period last year, the cost of greenhouse tomatoes on the Russian market was about the same as today. Large distributors inform: in a week the price of tomatoes from greenhouses will rise even higher.Share
