Semi-organic vegetables have become a fashion trend and require special attention, says Zofia Chironkienė, who represents the Lithuanian Vegetable Producers Association. These indicators continue to grow steadily.

Participants in this program should adhere to the reduced use of fertilizers and pesticides. Herbicides are not used in the second half of the plant vegetation. Such products are certified in the same company as organic.

Members of the association take part in fairs and exhibitions of agricultural products to make it more popular and tell the story of their products.

Problematic issues in the production of semi-organic vegetables include lack of personnel and frequent droughts in Lithuania.
