Scientists from the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, together with Fujian Newland Era Hi-Tech Co Ltd, have created a robot that can take care of plant health.
The electronic assistant moves along the aisles of the greenhouse and collects information about the plants, which he passes to the person. At the same time, the robot uses 5G technology and analyzes the received data using artificial intelligence.
According to Chen Lee, Newland’s deputy director of marketing, the new robot from Chinese developers is able to diagnose plant health and can decide for itself whether additional pest control actions are needed in each individual case.
On the head of the robot are two 5 megapixels and two 7 megapixels cameras that record wind speed, carbon dioxide level, air humidity, temperature and other environmental indicators.
Artificial intelligence, in turn, optimizes algorithms, is engaged in the construction of a movement map, develops routes to overcome obstacles at work sites, calculates the required amount of fertilizers and water for watering plants that are grown in a greenhouse.
