The Odessa Regional State Administration held a discussion on the prospects of cooperation between regional entrepreneurs and Iranian business representatives, the press service of the Odessa Regional State Administration said.
Odessa region is interested in cooperating with Iran as a partnership in trade and economy, as well as in organizing joint activities for the agro-industrial development of the region, said the deputy head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Vitaliy Svichinsky.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ukraine, Manuchehr Moradi, said that the Iranian side expresses a desire to cooperate with Odessa region entrepreneurs in transport logistics and in the agricultural sector.
The parties to the negotiations discussed the possibility of creating agricultural enterprises on the lands of the region.
Earlier it was reported that the Arab sheikhs plan to invest in the agricultural sector of the Ternopil region. The main partners of the region among foreign countries are Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iran, Egypt and Qatar.
Now producers of the region are increasing export volumes, in particular, of oilseeds and grain crops, as well as frozen veal and beef with a Halal certificate.
