Mid-January will be marked by an extraordinary event for manufacturers of falsified dairy products: a new labeling system for products made from milk will come into force, which will oblige manufacturers to pack and design products in accordance with new standards.
In other words, now a product made using vegetable oil cannot be called butter - in accordance with the new rules it will need to be labeled as “milk-containing product with milk fat substitute.” The revised regulation provides for special subtleties of labeling. According to experts of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, the marking text on the packaging of dairy products should be in font, the size of which is at least two and a half millimeters. And always on the front side of the package.
