On the lands of the Vinnitsa region, investors began to build a corn processing plant with a production capacity of 100 thousand tons / year and a cost of $ 14 million.

There are no plants of such capacity in Ukraine yet, the press service of the Vinnitsa Regional State Administration said. Large-scale construction of the company "Dax Bunge Ukraine" unfolded in the village of Demkovtsy, Trostyanetsky district.

The plant will be equipped with a modern Italian line. By the end of 2019, it is planned to complete the construction of a logistics complex, which will be used as an elevator this fall. By the fall of 2020, i.e. for the new season, the management plans to completely complete the construction of an object with a capacity of 300 tons of corn processing per day (100 thousand tons / year).

For the construction of the plant, investors chose the Vinnitsa region, given the constant increase in productivity in the region and the rational use of agricultural resources, said Oleg Bigdan, director of government relations.

In its work, the company will use hard corn, which is grown by farmers in the Vinnitsa region. In addition, raw materials will also be supplied from other regions of the country, said Dmitry Gorshunov, Director General of Bunge-Ukraine.

It is planned that 20% of the finished products of the plant will be sold domestically, and 80% will be exported. Bran, products for the production of beer and raw materials for making breakfast cereals will be sold in Ukraine.
