An extraordinary event took place in one of the Ural mountain villages located in the Chelyabinsk region - a farm for keeping deer-deer was opened in the village. Today, the livestock farm numbers about fifty animals, the control and care of which is almost according to VIP standards.

“Our farm is hiding in the mountains a little over a kilometer above sea level,” the nursery says. “It may seem strange to some - deer in the mountains, but, in fact, this is the usual habitat for Altai deer.”

It should be added that the farm is based on the lands of the national park, the scale of which allows animals to graze on the territory of more than six hundred hectares. The farm is surrounded by a high and strong fence to protect the peace of deer from the invasion of uninvited guests in the form of predators or random onlookers.

“In winter we feed deer with special food, and in the summer we hope that our deer can find their own food, while grazing on grassy fields,” the nursery workers share their plans. They also add that it will be their responsibility to treat the non-ossified deer antlers, which are generally believed to have healing powers.
