Beef Plan Movement, an Irish farmers' movement, will hold a protest rally on Wednesday with a deal with Mercosur and a crisis in the meat sector in agriculture.
The Beef Plan Movement calls on all small businesses, farmers and rural organizations, as well as cattle and sheep breeding societies, to step out and express their anger in unison over the current crisis in the Irish beef sector.
Fodder sellers, fertilizer suppliers, fuel suppliers, cooperatives, veterinary practitioners, artificial intelligence companies, agricultural contractors, as well as the transport and transport industries, as well as all those who are heavily dependent on the agricultural sector, are invited to participate in the action.
“Last year, there was an unprecedented level of loss on meat farms in Ireland. Losses continued in 2019, when beef and lamb prices continued to decline during the summer months.
Farmers and all rural enterprises need to speak with one voice in order to convey information to the government and Commissioner Hogan, ”said a spokeswoman for Beef Plan Movement.
The spokeswoman added that without an active rural Ireland and a sustainable agricultural sector, the economic consequences of an agreement with Mercosur would be much stronger.
“We will not stop until we hear our voice. This is a struggle for the whole of Ireland, ”Beef Plan Movement said in a farming movement.
