Heavy rainfall, which provoked colossal floods in the vast Amur Region, entailed not only impressive destruction of infrastructure, but also the death of domestic animals and local livestock.
Such information was shared with the public by representatives of the press service of the Center for Civil Protection and Fire Safety of the Amur Region. The ministry emphasizes that no matter how the inhabitants of the region tried to evacuate their livestock and other animals, they could not save the entire beast - the Amur people simply did not manage to save some individuals.
Representatives of the Ministry of Emergencies, enlisting the support of local residents, made every effort to save those animals who could not hide in a safe place. However, the losses in the ranks of livestock and pets are still impressive.
In particular, we are talking about the death as a result of a flood of one hundred and fifty individuals - twenty cows, five goats, eleven pigs, two horses, as well as one rabbit, a dozen dogs and one cat.
The carcasses of dead animals were taken by employees of specialized services from the territory of settlements to a specialized landfill and eliminated by burning in special pits.
The remains of the beast were thoroughly disinfected in accordance with the regulations and buried in the ground at a special stage.
