The Economic Coordinating Committee of the Cabinet of Ministers imposed a ban on the export of onions until May 30, 2020. The ban also applies to red pepper.
Punjab asked the Prime Minister’s office to ban the export of onions and red pepper, as there is a risk of rising prices for these goods due to a possible shortage.
Also, the Economic Coordinating Committee approved an additional technical grant of about $ 6 billion for the Pakistan Naya Housing and Development Program and about $ 1.5 billion for the Afghan Ministry of Planning.
