Tambovstat analytical experts shared with the audience statistics from the meat processing industry in the Tambov region. Based on the data obtained, in the first four months of this year, agricultural producers in the region were able to produce more than one hundred and sixty one thousand tons of meat.

The share of poultry meat in the total volume of 2019 production is one hundred thousand tons. If we talk about pork, then its part in the total volume is a little more than sixty thousand tons.

As for the meat of "horned", here we are talking about an indicator of one thousand tons, which is almost six and a half percent higher than in the first four months of 2018.

It is also important to add that last month in the Tambov region the number of pigs increased significantly. Growth rates are over sixteen percent.

It will not be superfluous to note that to date, specialists in the Tambov region have managed to create a unique database that contains information on agricultural enterprises in the region, the number of livestock and poultry, and the total area of ​​arable land.

These and many other achievements of the agro-industrial complex of the region allow the Tambov region to maintain the status of one of the leaders in farming and cattle-breeding in the Central Federal District.
