The other day, Nikolai Romanov, head of the Pskov Region Agriculture Committee, as well as Ivan Shtylin, head of the Pskov Physical Culture and Sports Committee, visited a unique agricultural enterprise.
We are talking about the production company Agrofort, which concentrated its efforts on growing such crops as horseradish.
Ivan Shtylin shared information about his visit to the enterprise with subscribers on his page on the Instagram social network. In particular, he said that the main purpose of their visit with Romanov was to discuss the shortage of labor resources in the field of horseradish cultivation in the Pskov region.
According to Shtylin, an acute shortage of personnel units is fully felt during the period when crops are sown and when the crops are harvested at the end of the season.
It will not be superfluous to note that the Agrofort enterprise operates under the supervision of Sergey Uvarov, who began to cultivate horseradish more than fifteen years ago. He began by cultivating the culture on his own personal plot, allocating forty hectares for horseradish.
Today, his large enterprise has over one hundred and ninety hectares of horseradish fields. However, Uvarov does not intend to rest on his laurels. Even with an acute shortage of labor, he plans to expand the territory to four hundred hectares with horseradish.
