To date, all work on spring sowing has been practically completed in Russia. Such information was shared by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Fields with spring grain today are located in territories with a total area of almost twenty-nine million hectares, which is ninety-seven and a half percent of the planned figure. It is noteworthy that a year earlier, as of mid-June, twenty eight million hectares were planted with spring grain in the Russian Federation.
Spring barley occupies almost eight million hectares, which leads to a one percent excess of the plan. Ninety-eight percent (about twelve million hectares) of wheat is sown, and grain corn is located on two and a half million hectares, exceeding the plan by almost one and a half percent.
If we talk about sowing sunflower in the agricultural territories of the Russian Federation, then here we are again talking about overfulfillment of the plan - by more than four percent. So, farmers managed to plant sunflower in territories with a total area of over eight million hectares.
As for rapeseed, in this case we can talk about the fulfillment of the target of ninety-six percent with an indicator of slightly less than one and a half million hectares.
The territories occupied by spring soybeans are equal to two point seven tenths of a million hectares, which determines the fulfillment of the plan by ninety percent.
