It is known that since the beginning of summer 2019, more than two thousand four hundred bee colonies have died in the apiaries of the Lipetsk region.
This indicator is seven percent of the total number of bee swarms in the region. Such information was shared with the public by the deputy head of the administration of the Lipetsk region Nikolay Tagintsev.
The vice-governor also added that the death of the bees in most cases was provoked by the fact that agricultural producers and representatives of farm facilities cultivated their land with pesticides dangerous for bees, without thinking that there were apiaries near the fields.
Pesticides had a negative effect on bee colonies, who did not suspect that the fields familiar to them became dangerous due to pesticides.
As a result of the mass bee plague, the acting head of the regional administration, Igor Artamonov, issued a decree on the issue to the beekeepers of the region of monetary compensations for each dead bee family.
As a result, each beekeeper must receive a monetary compensation of damage ranging from three thousand one hundred and fifty rubles to three thousand and five hundred rubles for each bee family lost.
It is reported that money to compensate for damage to beekeepers will be allocated from the reserve fund of the administration of the Lipetsk region.
Nikolay Tagintsev also emphasized that compensation was provided to absolutely all beekeepers who were injured, regardless of whether they had official passports for their beekeeping or not.
