The reason for the resumption of external shipments of cattle meat from South African producers was that South Africa regained the status of a country free from a disease such as foot and mouth disease.

Note that China lifted the ban on meat imports from South Africa after a visit by authorized auditors on July 23, 2019 to the territory of Limpopo province, as well as to Elanezi district (Mpumalanga province) - the main beef production sites.
