A campaign to clean up the territories of the Leningrad region from the cow-sow of Sosnowski in 2019 will cost the authorities of the region thirty-five million rubles.
It is known that in 2019 in the region the following plan for cleaning the territories from the pest has been outlined: Sosnovsky will have to destroy the cow parsnip on an area of seven thousand hectares. Representatives of seventy-two settlements and thirty-four agricultural enterprises volunteered to fight weed in these lands.
According to the press service of the Government of the Leningrad Region, money for the fight against cow parsnip for settlements and agricultural companies will be allocated as a special subsidy from the fund of the Committee for Agriculture and Fishery.
The authorities of the region do not spare money for the extermination of the insidious weed, since the fighters with the cow parsnip last year showed excellent results and proved that they use the money allocated to them with the maximum return: over the past eight years they managed to get rid of the pest and put about twenty into agricultural and urban circulation eight thousand hectares.
It will not be superfluous to note that those landowners who decided to give up on Sosnovsky’s growing hogweed and don’t fight him will pay high fines for their negligence.
It is known that for violation of the requirements for the extermination of weeds there is a serious administrative responsibility - payment of up to five thousand rubles to the state fund. Penalties for officials are even higher: from five to twenty thousand rubles. The fine “price tag” for legal entities starts at twenty thousand and can reach fifty thousand rubles.
