More than a third of the total turkey population died on the Ursdon farm, which is located in the Rostov Region. In total, the poultry farms of the Eurodon group of companies lost more than 6,350 broiler turkeys.
According to information from the Department of Information Policy under the Government of the Rostov Region, the farm kept birds that turned 273 days old. More than 35% of them died as a result of the defeat of type A avian influenza with subtype H5. The reason for the death of the livestock was established as a result of a thorough analysis of the biomaterial obtained from dead turkeys. The samples were studied by employees of the state veterinary laboratory of the Rostov region.
