By today, the farmers of the Republic of Belarus have managed to thresh over one and a half million hectares of fields with grain and leguminous crops by common efforts.
It is noteworthy that this indicator is about seventy-three percent of the plan outlined at the beginning of the harvesting campaign. Such information was shared with the public by representatives of the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.
The department also hastened to emphasize that among the leaders in the process of collecting grain and leguminous crops (excluding corn, millet and buckwheat), the Brest region was firmly entrenched in the first place. Local producers managed to thresh more than ninety-five percent of the fields, which led to a yield of one million one hundred forty-six thousand tons of grain.
The productivity index of the Grodno region is equal to one million three hundred and sixty tons of grain and legumes from eighty-three and a half percent of the total area of regional fields.
The third place is occupied by the agrarians of the Minsk region, who by today have managed to thresh almost seventy-three percent of the fields with cereals and legumes. Their harvest at the moment is at least one million three hundred thousand tons of grain.
Gomel farmers cultivated a little less than seventy percent of the fields, having threshed five hundred seventeen and a half thousand tons of grain. Mogilev farmers are slightly inferior to their Gomel counterparts with an indicator of sixty-eight percent of threshed farmland and a yield of new grain in the amount of five hundred fifty two thousand eight hundred tons.
It will not be amiss to note that this season in the Republic of Belarus the area of fields with grain and legumes (excluding corn, millet and buckwheat) is about two million two hundred thousand hectares.
