On June 4 this year, analysts from the Infoindustria news agency conducted a survey of grape producers in Ukraine, during which it became clear that there is a threat to the crop due to shedding of ovaries.
The shedding of the ovaries of grapes occurs due to weather conditions, as well as developed diseases and pests, as the country's farmers informed.
They noticed signs of the presence of pests in the vineyards such as oidium, ticks, and leafworms. There are also painful manifestations of gray rot, powdery mildew and various leaf spots. All this leads to a strong weakening of the overall immunity of the vine.
According to the respondents, with proper grape growing, the ovary crumbles naturally in the amount necessary to control the load on the fruit. The plant itself discards the excess ovary, but its amount is not significant.
It will be possible to learn about methods for producing a large grape harvest at the annual Golden Bunch of Ukraine 2019 exhibition, which will be held on August 17-18 at the KOZAK-PALATS exhibition center. Zaporozhye.
The exhibition provides for a rich program, which will not only consist of a theoretical part, but will also include master classes and a trip to the best vineyards of the region. At the moment, over 500 participants have already been registered.
