In 2018, the United States of America took fourth place in the list of the largest importers of apple concentrate from Ukraine.

The United States significantly increased the volume of purchases of Ukrainian apple concentrate and took the 4th line in the overall ranking of importers of these products after countries such as Austria, Poland and Germany. In 2018, Ukraine sold 9.2 thousand tons of apple concentrate to the United States. This is 10 times higher than last year's export figures. During 2017, the United States imported a total of 944 tons of product and ranked 9th in the list of importing countries.

In monetary terms, the export of apple concentrate increased by 9 times - from $ 890 thousand to $ 8.2 million. Industry experts explain this situation as a sharp decrease in the volume of product deliveries from China. As a result, US juice producers were forced to look for other suppliers of apple concentrate.

Positive dynamics in the increase in purchases by the United States of America of apple concentrate from Ukraine continues in the current year. If in January last year, Ukraine did not export the product to the United States at all, then in January of this year it already delivered more than 3 thousand tons of concentrate to the American market.

Earlier it was reported that China is pleased to purchase Ukrainian apples for the production of concentrate from them. There are apples in China too, but they are sour there and therefore the concentrate from them is not of the highest quality. Enterprising Chinese import sweet apples from Ukraine and dilute their concentrate with them, getting a competitive product.
