Quadrocopters began to actively enter the market of plant protection services. This became possible with the release of the new generation of drones XAG P20 and XAG P30.

Evgeny Yanchenko, director of XAG Ukraine, says the aircraft operate as part of ultra low-volume spraying technology. Of course, it was first tested in small areas, and is already working on an industrial scale.

“This device differs from others in that the insertion error is only 1-3 cm, it brings in the exact volumes of liquid set by the operator with a drop size of 85-250 microns. The application rate of plant protection products in practice is from 2 to 10 liters per ha, although in the experiments they also gave 30 l, on average on farm fields the norms are 5 l / ha, but fertilizers cannot be applied, because the mixture must contain large volumes of water.

The cost of the service is 200-250 UAH / ha, aviation provides this service for 130-150 UAH / ha, but it processes the fields with an error of 3-5 meters, which leads to a significant cost overrun, plus the agrarian has to pay for fuel for the plane. The tank of the quadrocopter sprayer has a capacity. This quantity is enough for 2-3 hectares. When compared with sprayers, it is also necessary to consider the fuel consumption of their powerful engines and trampling 3-6% of the crops. Demand for our services is growing, ”says Yevgeny Yanchenko.

“We worked with him mainly at night, while aviation cannot be used at this time,” says Valeriy Litvinenko, Leading Research Analyst at ALFA Smart Agro, “The device is autonomous, pressed a button and it flew to itself, after 5 minutes it returned, we replaced the tank and it works again. Its advantages are that it can add drugs on micro-sites with an area of ​​5-10 acres, this is important for us, because we have many demo sites.
