Very soon, Russian fishermen will be able to fish at certain points without coordination with the responsible authorities. This was reported by employees of the Federation Council on the federal structure, who advised members of the House of Regions to pay close attention to the law on free fishing for personal interests.
According to employees of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, this initiative appeared on the eve of the abolition of the institute of fishing sites, which today do not allow free fishing without accompanying documents and a fixed payment. The abolition is scheduled for early 2020.

“With nets, fishermen can only fish at certain fishing points in the Far East, Siberia and the waters of the Far North,” the Federation Council said. “In other words, we are talking about those places where fishing is carried out in the traditional way.”
Despite the fact that very soon fishermen will be able to fish for free where they had to pay before, the use of nets will be allowed only provided that the fisherman has registered for a specific period and has completed all the procedures established by law. The gear used by anglers to fish must be individually labeled by the competent authorities.
