A categorical initiative came from leading experts of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. In particular, employees of the department proposed to seize land from those owners who neglect to comply with fire safety rules on their lands.
Focusing on the requirements put forward as part of the initiative, activists suggest depriving farmers and summer residents of those plots that are littered with grass, hay or solid waste that are in a dry state. In other words, the proper storage of those objects that are flammable should be arranged in the areas.
In the event that an official comment is made to the farmer or the owner of the summer cottage regarding improperly organized storage of fire hazardous items, the discrepancy should be immediately eliminated. Otherwise, the untidy owner, after six months of inaction, will have to say goodbye to his lands.
It is noteworthy that the initiators are calling for amendments to be made both to the land code of the Russian Federation and to the federal law providing for fire safety.
It is important to emphasize that those owners who are officially recognized as bankrupt will be obligated to monitor the order on their sites.
As soon as land is seized by authorized specialists as a result of the inaction of negligent owners, the land can be sold at auction at a market average price. The proceeds from the sale of the site will be received by the ex-owner of the cluttered and fire hazardous lands.
